A Model of performance evaluation of the Kurash and Judo federation management based on the balanced scorecard

Document Type : Research Paper

Abstract

Purpose: The aim of this study was designing a performance evaluation model for the managers of the Iranian Kurash and Judo Federation based on the Balanced Scorecard.
Methodology: A descriptive-survey research method was used, which was conducted through a field study. The statistical population consisted of the members and experts of the Judo and Kurash Federation. The research sample size, which was the same size as the population, was selected purposefully (n=41). A researcher-made questionnaire was applied for data collection, the formal validity of which was confirmed by experts (n=12). In addition, its reliability was calculated using Cronbach’s Alpha (0.96). The present study used structural equation modeling and PLS software for data analysis and model fitness.
Results: The performance evaluation model of the Kurash and Judo Federation consists of 4 factors, 10 dimensions, and 39 indices, where the factor of growth and learning consists of 3 dimensions and 17 indices, customer and sport results has 3 dimensions and 7 indices, its internal processes includes 3 dimensions and 11 indices, and the fiscal factor contains one dimension and 4 indices. The factor loadings of the internal processes, customer and sport results, growth and learning, and fiscal factors were 0.93, 0.92, 0.88, and 0.84, respectively. Moreover, according to the correlation between latent variables, the highest correlation was found to be between fiscal factor and internal processes (0.89), followed by the correlation between the internal process and customer and sport results (0.88).
Conclusion: According to the research results, it is recommended that the four studied factors, their confirmed dimensions, and indices should be paid special attention to when performing performance evaluation in the organization. Additionally, the more attention is paid to the financial matters of the organization, the internal proceses in the performance indices of iran’s Kurash and Judo Federation will increase. Furthermore, taking the indices of the internal processes dimension into greater consideration can make progress in the performance indices in the customer and sport results dimension.
