Abstract

Objective: The purpose of this study is to present a model for establishing a wisdom-based organization in the National Olympic Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Methodology: This research has a qualitative approach and was conducted using the data method of the Systematic Approach Foundation. The statistical population of the study was the directors and members of the board of the National Olympic Committee and experts, and the sampling was done by snowball method. Semi-structured interviews were used to collect data, which the researcher achieved theoretical saturation by conducting 10 interviews. The validity of the step-by-step questions was confirmed by the experts and the reliability of the interview questions was 92% by retesting. By analyzing the data by Maxqda software, 442 primary codes, 22 sub-categories and 5 main categories were obtained. During three stages of open coding, axial coding and selective coding, the research model was designed. Results: The results showed that in establishing a wisdom-based organization in the National Olympic Committee, causal conditions include factors; Creativity and innovation, organizational learning, central process, underlying factors including factors; Organizational and human, intervening factors including macro policies and environmental factors, strategies including strategic vision, decision-making and rational and ethical judgment, and consequences include organizational development and excellence. Conclusion: Therefore, committee officials should have a strategy-oriented and process-oriented perspective, and the structure of the committee should be based on knowledge, learning, performance, and decisions should be based on reason.
