Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify socio-cultural factors affecting the health of female students based on sports with a grounded theory approach. Methodology: This research has a qualitative approach and the method of data theory (grounded theory) has been used as the research method. The method of data collection is the study of theoretical foundations and in-depth and open interviews with 14 prominent professors in the field of sports management specializing in school sports, the country's elite sports teachers, as well as the directors of education and training in the country. The sampling method was continued in a targeted manner and snowball and to the extent of theoretical saturation. The validity of this study was reviewed and confirmed by the interviewees and then expert professors. Reliability was obtained by using the process audit study method of 73.8% results. To analyze the data, continuous comparison method was used during the three stages of open, axial and selective coding. Results: Data analysis showed that 31 concept codes and 9 main categories are the most important socio-cultural factors affecting the health of female students based on exercise. Conclusion: It is suggested that the trustees of student sports use the results of the present study to improve the health status of students.
