Abstract

Purpose: motivation narrows attentional scope in order to fixate attentional resources on the task at hand. As a result, the needs support approach, by supporting the three basic psychological needs, makes the learner feel more satisfied and affect the learning, performance, and quality of the motivated experience. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of need support approach on visual saccades, alpha wave and golf putting performance. Method: Subjects were 30 female students with (Mage=22.24±2/3) who were selected by random sampling method and participated in a semi-experimental research project with pre-test and post-test design and after pre-test, They were randomly divided into experimental groups (n = 15) and control (n = 15) groups. The experimental group performed golf physical exercises along with behavioral interventions in supportive environments. The control group followed the physical exercises of golf according to the usual exercises. Before and after the intervention Visual saccades were assessed by a visual test.
