Abstract
The present research was conducted with the general aim of identifying the strategies and consequences of mass crowd management in Iran's stadiums. The method of the present research is a qualitative method, which in terms of the goal is in the category of exploratory research, in terms of the result, it is a part of fundamental and applied research, and is based on the paradigm of critical theory research. The statistical population of the research included experts and professors of sports management, managers of high-capacity stadiums, executive managers in the field of professional club management, and senior managers of the football federation, 12 of whom were selected as the sample size of the research using the purposeful sampling method. Semi-structured interviews with experts were used to collect information. The reliability of the research was confirmed using the retest method. Data analysis and coding was done by Max QDA software, version 2020. The results of the research data analysis showed that there are 8 main strategies under the headings of facilities and facilitation strategies, event management strategies, communication strategies, safety strategies, managerial strategies, technical strategies, educational strategies, and monitoring and security strategies as crowd management strategies in Iranian stadiums. . Also, the categories of consequences including, security, mental and psychological, ideal in the primary consequences section and chaos management, social and infrastructural categories were extracted in the secondary consequences section of mass population management. It is necessary that the managers of the stadiums, in order to solve the technical problems and improve the situation of mass crowd management in these places, make the mentioned applications operational in a suitable and competent manner.
