Abstract

Objective: The purpose of this study was to design a performance management model of the Iranian Ski Federation based on structural-interpretive modeling.

Research Method: This research is applied in terms of purpose and research data were collected in a field and in a mixed manner (qualitative and quantitative). The statistical population in the quantitative section, including the officials and employees of the ski federation, the supervisors and coaches of the national ski teams and the heads of the provincial ski delegations, was equal to 82 people and in the qualitative section, 18 experts. Due to the limited number of members, the statistical population was equal to the sample. The research tool in the first part was a researcher-made questionnaire. The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by 10 professors of sports management at the university and its reliability was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha test (α = 0.96). The research tool in the second part was a structural self-interaction questionnaire and interpretive structural modeling technique was used for modeling.

Results: The results showed that the performance management of the ski federation has 12 dimensions and 40 components and the dimensions were structured in seven levels. The dimensions of establishing a growth and motivation system and coaching, refereeing and management training courses at the infrastructure level and the dimensions of stabilization, improving the performance and development of the country's skiing, and generating income and attracting sponsors were at the top of the model.
