The Comparison Social Responsibility Components of Sport Companies’ Point View Of Physical Education Students

Abstract

Background & purpose: Social responsibility is defined as company's commitment to benefit to society. The purpose of this study was identification and Comparison Social Responsibility Components of Sport companies’ point of view Physical Education Students.
Methodology: The research method was survey. This study Population were all physical education students in faculties of public universities that 353 of them were chosen as the sample with based on Morgan's table. Data collection procedure was using the questionnaire used by Smith et al (2001), which was frequently used for different studies abroad. Face and Content-related validity of this questionnaire were confirmed by experts and its validity was examined by confirmatory factor analysis with the 77.51 percent and internal reliability was approved by Cronbach's alpha (α=0.82). Repeated measures ANOVA and t-test used for data analysis by SPSS20 software.
Results: The results showed that Legal responsibility was identified as the most important Social responsibility (27.68±5.97) and then the ethical responsibility, followed by economic and philanthropic responsibility. Also, result showed that based on variables such as gender, educational level, and employment status, there are no significant differences between the means of sport companies’ social responsibility.
Discussion: Iranian students believe that legal responsibility is most important corporate responsibility. Therefore, the premise is accepted that companies’ social responsibility can do by accepting the law and ethical responsibility in the society.
